What software is required to run this?

This has been designed on Microsoft Excel 2016 Desktop. It is recommeded to be used on a Windows Excel Desktop Platform, 2016 and above. Due to the usage of macros and VBA in this tracker, it will not work on Google Sheets or any other spreadsheet software. It has not been adapted to work with Mac Excel as of yet (that is in the works).

How do I get my product?

This is a digital download so after purchase, you can download the product and use it straightaway. No need to wait for delivery!

Is there a guide to how to use it?

Attached is a detailed instruction manual you can refer to, although the debt tracker itself should be pretty straightforward to use. If you got any questions, feel free to contact me and I would be happy to help!

How many debts can this handle?

The tracker has been programmed to calculate for 20 debts over 40 years. I may consider adding additional debts if the need arises.

What if I encounter errors in using this tracker?

The tracker has been backtested to work on mutiple devices, but feel free to let me know if you encounter any bugs. I will do my best to resolve it. As with such products, I am constantly backtesting and updating it so feel free to let me know/PM me if you have any suggestions or feedback. I will take them into consideration! The price will be low for a limited period of time as I seek to improve it.

How does the security work?

Due to financial data being a sensitive topic, the tracker has been designed to only work on the PC it has been activated on (up to 2 PCs in consideration for users who own more than 1 PC, although it may be inconvenient to track it on 2 PCs). The tracker cannot be opened on PCs other than the intended original PC, and others cannot have access to it if it were to be stolen, distributed, etc. Of course, there is no 100% security, but it should be relatively secure.

Can I use this tracker without recording my month-by-month payments?

The tracker would work fine without any monthly update on your payment transactions. It will still be able to generate the payoff schedule and data reporting that you can follow accordingly.

How long did it take you to do this?

Long. Very long. It is a combination of both excel and vba programming. A pet project I had been working on, and I am glad it’s finally completed 🙂 Let me know if you have any feedback or suggestions!

Can this be edited or customised?

The tracker has been designed to perfrom like an application, so no customizations would be necessary. Due to the complexity and comprehensiveness of the sheet, it is not recommended to adjust the sheet, lest it breaks.
